Fleet Cards
What is a fleet card?
Fleet gas cards are a better way to manage fuel expenses for business vehicles. Fuel prices rise and fall, but a fleet card helps give you consistent savings beyond the pump—a valuable edge for any business. The WEX FlexCard and WEX Fleet Card help by letting you control employee spending, identify potential fraud or misuse, automatically track your purchases online, and more.
Are fleet cards only for big companies with a lot of vehicles?
No. A “fleet” can be a single company vehicle, thousands of trucks, or anything in between. WEX fleet fuel cards benefit businesses of all sizes.
Where are WEX cards accepted?
WEX fuel cards are accepted at 95% of U.S. gas stations. No more planning routes around where to fuel or driving out of your way for a particular station. We even have a mobile app to find the cheapest nearby fuel. WEX fuel cards are also welcome at 45,000+ vehicle service locations.
How do fleet cards compare to cash or a company credit card?
The WEX FlexCard and WEX Fleet Card offer many advantages over cash or credit cards. Cash is easily lost or stolen, and you may not have a lot of control over how or where employees spend it. Credit cards provide basic purchase info, but not much insight into your spending. WEX fuel cards eliminate the busywork and hassle of tracking fuel expenses
- Driver PINs at the pump act like a security checkpoint
- Automatic fuel accounting means no more lost receipts
- Easy-access reports give you a full breakdown of expenses
- Our U.S.-based service team is available 24/7
Is a PIN or password required for purchases?
Yes. For every purchase, employees enter a PIN plus the current odometer reading. If you want, you can choose a different second prompt when setting up your account — for example, a vehicle number or other piece of data relevant to your business.
